Matt Reischling is a professional musician, author, and restless traveler.
His eclectic music catalog spans nine albums (seven full-length, two EPs) and can be found on all streaming platforms under his name, as well as on Bandcamp (www.mattreischling.bandcamp.com). In addition to performing solo and with bands for over twenty years in Los Angeles, San Diego, Northern Italy, and the San Francisco Bay Area, he runs an education-related business to support his creative endeavors.
Outside of music, Matt released a heartfelt and revealing nonfiction book of essays in 2021 titled Almost Weightless: Essays on the Journey to Myself, which is available on Amazon and in select stores around Sonoma County, CA. Two years later, he published his second book of essays, Transmissions from a Restless Soul. Recently, he made the leap from nonfiction to fiction and is in the middle of writing a dark novella that explores themes of obsession, existentialism, and the pursuit of love. Matt has also written a whimsical screenplay called Zebra: Whereabouts Unknown and aspires to turn it into a film someday, with or without industry support.
